Professional Year Program – Accounting (SIMPA)

The Department of Immigration and Border Protection has approved the Professional Year Program SIMPA. Chartered Accountants ANZ, CPA Australia, and the Institute of Public Accountants are three of the most professional accounting bodies in Australia, and they have approved this program. Since skilled professionals are limited in Australia, they came up with this solution to raise the number of international students that can be employable. Using this program, they intend to increase their skill set and expertise by providing them opportunities such as on-field training.

The course spans over 44 weeks, in which 32 weeks is the coursework and 12 weeks of internship. The best part about enrolling in this program is the fact that a person can get 5 bonus points from DIBP or Department of Immigration and Border Protection which they can use to get a visa under the category Skilled Independent (subclass 189).
